SI/PI Engineer
Role description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Signal Integrity/Power Integrity (SI/PI) Engineer to join our hardware development team. This role is critical for ensuring high-performance and reliable electronic designs through advanced modeling, simulation, and analysis of high-speed digital and power delivery systems.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Perform SI/PI simulations and analysis for high-speed interfaces (e.g., DDR, PCIe, USB, SerDes) and power delivery networks (PDNs) across complex PCBs and packages.
-
Collaborate with hardware design teams to define stack-up, routing rules, and design constraints that ensure signal and power integrity.
-
Develop and maintain models (IBIS, S-parameters, SPICE) for components and interconnects.
-
Utilize tools such as Ansys SIwave, Cadence Sigrity, Keysight ADS, HyperLynx, or equivalent for pre- and post-layout simulation.
-
Review schematics and layout for SI/PI best practices and provide guidance to PCB layout engineers.
-
Conduct lab measurements and correlate simulation results with real-world performance using tools like oscilloscopes, VNAs, TDRs, and power integrity probes.
-
Support root cause analysis of signal/power-related issues during board bring-up and testing phases.
-
Stay current with evolving technologies and industry standards in SI/PI design.
